David Thompson is Chairman of the Exmouth and East Exeter Constituency branch which includes Pinhoe, Whipton and St Loyes.
With the urban extension of Exeter our former village of Pinhoe is now considered to be Pinhoe and Monkerton. Expectations of a Community Hub were made and we were told funds raised by the Community would be matched by the City Council. How could a community raise in excess of Elm?
Community infrastructure has been left behind for Pinhoe while big chunks of the CIL money has gone towards the Labour heartlands and vanity projects. Where is the infrastructure to support Pinhoe and Monkerton? Labour has created eye watering debt and is now looking round to sell assets to cover that debt. I will bring my expertise as a Chartered Surveyor and my working in Local Government experience to speak up for you if you elect me on 2 May 2024 in the Pinhoe ward of Exeter City Council.
